I’m so excited about this new 28 Day Challenge that will help all our Thermomix customers get the most out of their amazing Thermomix!! I started the Everyday Challenge on Sun 16th Sept so I will be updating this post and instagram with photos of all the recipes I am cooking on the challenge. I will also be doing live videos on my facebook page for every recipe to help you with the inspiration. You can start the 28 day challenge at anytime and there are 3 to choose from : The Everyday Challenge, The Gluten Free Challenge and The Cost Saving Challenge.

Sun 16th – Preparation recipes are Homemade Butter, Vegetable Stock Paste & Creamy Tomato, Salami Fettuccine.

Day 5:  A choice of smoothie – Daily Green Juice, Apple Pie Smoothie & Ruby Glow Smoothie

 

Day 5 : Automated custard recipe I made half vanilla & half chocolate using dark chocolate instead of cocoa

 

Day 6 Fakeaway Chicken in Yoghurt with boiled rice (homemade automated yoghurt also pictured not included in the challenge)

 

Day 7: Pie day I choose Gluten Free Chicken & Leek Pie

 

Day 8: Souffle’ Omelette with Hot Smoked Salmon and Kewpie Wasabi Mayo

 

Day 8: Coconut & Beetroot Balls

 

Day 9: Chicken & Corn Soup

 

Day 10 Pizza Dough & Tomato Pasta Sauce

 

Day 11 Pumpkin & Bacon Risotto (I roasted my pumpkin & bacon & added it to the risotto)

 

Day 12 the challenge was to find a recipe on the USA Cookidoo to make, I choose Beef Chili with Red Rice & Guacamole.

Cookidoo 7 Day Challenge

AIM: To become confident using cookidoo (& your cook key if you have one) Bonus – you might just find a new favourite recipe. You can start the challenge at anytime.

1. Choose 7 Cookidoo recipes to make over 7 days.

2. Try to use the Cookidoo menu planning & shopping list function. (Sync on your Thermomix model 5 if you have a cook-key)

3. Try to make 1 breakfast, 1 lunch, 1 dinner & 1 bake over the course of the week.

4. Try to post a photo on social media of what you have made using with #cookidoo7daychallenge (or send your photo to Arwen’s ThermoPics to be posted.)

5. Try to use 1 recipe from another countries’ cookidoo site.

6. If you miss a day you can make 2 recipes the next day

Yes everyone does it this time of year, I was very happy to find this delicious recipe which includes a fermented beetroot & apple salsa recipe. I will definitely make this recipe again & would happily eat it for any meal. Healthy doesn’t have to be boring at all. I’ll be cooking & tasting more healthy style recipes on cookidoo & I’ll keep you posted on what I find 🙂

Lamb Cutlets with Spinach & Pea Puree

My Mum & her family are from New Zealand so as soon as I saw thew Kiwi collection on cookidoo I knew I had to try some of the recipes. I made the afghan biscuits with my nephews too & they loved it! A recipe our Mum used to always make for us. The thing I like about this Lamb recipe is you use a pan to sear the lamb & the Thermomix is used for a marinade for the Lamb before it goes into the oven & then a red wine jus is made in the pan & the spinach & pea puree is made in the Thermomix. it tasted amazing too!!

As you know I do get rather excited about all things Thermomix & the Cook-Key is no exception. The Cook-Key attaches to your Model 5 Thermomix, where the recipe chip would normally sit. Then the first time you set it up you connect it up to your home wifi. It will automatically update to the latest updates available for the Thermomix Model 5, like sound options – you can turn the sound down or you can get it to chime for less time 🙂 There is a Cook-Key website to answer all your questions too. The most exciting thing about the Cook-Key in my opinion is that you can now use any of the recipes on Cookidoo (all tested recipes) as a guided recipe on your Thermomix Model 5.

Simply log onto Cookidoo & activate your Cook-Key by putting in the code on your Cook-Key. Then choose any of the the recipes on Cookidoo from any of the Cookidoo sites (12 countries to choose from) & create your own recipe lists, add them to your favourite recipes, or your favourite collections or even add them to your weekly planner. Turn on your Thermomix with the Cook-key attached & sinc the recipes so they now appear on your Thermomix 🙂 (If you are using another country’s Cookidoo & you don’t speak the language you can use use chrome translate so you can read the recipe in English (which can sometimes be amusing :-))

 

Plus special offers available – right now pre-order your Cook-Key for $189 plus $10 postage either through the Thermomix Shop selecting your consultant or contact your Thermomix Consultant directly & they can process your Cook-Key order including the option to put it on your zip money payment plan (12 months interest free) you will get 2 free mini Thermoservers – while stocks last 🙂 Your Cook-key comes with a 6 month subscription to Cookidoo & then if you choose to continue the subscription it will be $49 a year.
