Healthy Eating for 2018

This watermelon weighs over 10 kilos!! I’m on a mission to lose more than this water melon this year, after the delicious indulgences of last year 🙂 Bring it on!

Yes everyone does it this time of year, I was very happy to find this delicious recipe which includes a fermented beetroot & apple salsa recipe. I will definitely make this recipe again & would happily eat it for any meal. Healthy doesn’t have to be boring at all. I’ll be cooking & tasting more healthy style recipes on cookidoo & I’ll keep you posted on what I find 🙂

Cauliflower Soup

Healthy New Year 2016

Yes I know It’s really cliche’ to start being healthy on the 1st of Jan – well at least I didn’t start until the 4th of Jan though so that is kind of unique – right?

So it’s been green smoothies, beetroot juice, roast lamb salad, smoked salmon frittata, steamed harissa chicken & vegies. All delicious & nutritious, however not too exciting for a self confessed foodie. I had a craving last night & ate some leftover steamed veggies!!

It’s also been helpful I have been filling in to teach extra Bodybalance classes while our other instructor is away and I have also dusted off my walking shoes & been for a walk everyday (yes it’s been a whole 2 days all ready!!)

It’s also a great excuse to get out all my healthy recipe books & work on some menu planning ideas. I do have some unhealthy dates booked into the diary as well as some recipe testing coming soon so it seems like a good balance of healthy & fun recipes coming up in Janurary. You have to keep it real – right?
