Healthy New Year 2016

Yes I know It’s really cliche’ to start being healthy on the 1st of Jan – well at least I didn’t start until the 4th of Jan though so that is kind of unique – right?

So it’s been green smoothies, beetroot juice, roast lamb salad, smoked salmon frittata, steamed harissa chicken & vegies. All delicious &┬ánutritious, however not too exciting for a self confessed foodie. I had a craving last night & ate some leftover steamed veggies!!

It’s also been helpful I have been filling in to teach extra Bodybalance classes while our other instructor is away and I have also dusted off my walking shoes & been for a walk everyday (yes it’s been a whole 2 days all ready!!)

It’s also a great excuse to get out all my healthy recipe books & work on some menu planning ideas. I do have some unhealthy dates booked into the diary as well as some recipe testing coming soon so it seems like a good balance of healthy & fun recipes coming up in Janurary. You have to keep it real – right?
