Recipe type: Palate Cleanser

Total time:

Ingredients
  • Zest from 2 limes (no white pith)
  • 100g sugar
  • 2 limes (flesh only, no white pith)
  • 1 - 2 tbs of vietnamese mint leaves to taste
  • Coconut water from a young coconut about 300g
  • 600g ice cubes
Instructions
  1. Place zest & sugar into the TM bowl & chop for 20 secs speed 10.
  2. Add lime & vietnamese mint leaves & chop for 10 secs on speed 7.
  3. Add the ice & coconut water & chop for 1.5 mins on speed 10 using the spatula to push the sorbet back into the blades if needed.
Notes
You can make this sorbet into a mocktail or cocktail drink by adding more coconut water & or some vodka to taste.

The younger smaller vietnamese mint leaves seem to be less pungent, so it's important to taste the sorbet to see if it has the correct amount of mint for your palate.

The Thermomix Demo Menu

(SINCE WRITING THIS POST THE THERMOMIX DEMO HAS NOW CHANGED TO A COOKING EXPERIENCE WITH DIFFERENT MENU OPTIONS)

When you host a 2 hour Thermomix demo, to take advantage of the host rewards you must have a minimum of 2 other guests (from a different household to you) & a maximum of 6 guests including yourself. It is great to invite couples, so both partners can see the benefits of the Thermomix. Tell your guests not to eat a meal just before they attend, you will always have a full belly after a Thermomix demo!

One of the best things about hosting or attending a demo is seeing the “ThermoWOW factors” & tasting all the delicious food.

Hosting is easy, you will be given a small list of ingredients to provide & your consultant brings the rest of the ingredients. You will also be asked to help serve the food to your guests & wash the sample cups & spoons so they are ready for the next tasting. Such a small price to pay for an evening of delicious fun!

As the host you get to choose the menu from the following options, these options show the main features & functions of the Thermomix.

We always start with a palate cleanser – Amazing sorbet made from sugar, fresh fruit & ice.

ThermoWOW factors -see sugar being made into icing sugar in 10 secs!! See a fruit puree being made in 5 secs. See 1kg of ice being crushed into a sorbet in 1 min!!

Just imagine all the different flavours of sorbets you can create & just how much money you will save. Below is a picture of one of my favourite sorbet recipes for Strawberry & Rosewater Sorbet but why not try my other sorbet recipes that have been inspired by my customers Watermelon, Raspberry & Lime Sorbet, Lemoncello Sorbet, or if you want a fluffy egg free “ice cream” version try Apricot Fruity Dream or Mulberry Fruity Dream. So many great ideas YUM!!

Next choose a bread option

Pizza Bianca – topped with rosemary & garlic; ThermoWOW factors- the chopping of fresh garlic & rosemary in a few seconds. Then you will get to see how the guided recipe chip works as we make the pizza dough & you also get to see how the Thermomix kneads dough in about 2 mins!.

Pizza

Or the Buckwheat Dinner Rolls: ThermoWOW factors -see how to mill your own flour, see how the guided recipe chip works & the kneading of the dough in 2 mins. We also have fun making different shaped rolls too!

*Please let me know if you or any of your guests are gluten free & I can bring some Thermomix made Gluten Free Bread for you to try as well.

Rolls

You may choose a Dip or a Salad

Dip options are: Herb & Garlic Dip or Hummus

Herb & garlic dip is by far the most popular & addictive dip, the ThermoWOW factors are seeing 1 clove of garlic being minced in 2 secs!! See herbs being chopped in 2 secs & a delicious additive free dip being made in 5 secs. YUM!!

Hummus: ThermoWOW factors – seeing 1 clove of garlic being minced in 2 secs, tasting freshly milled spices, delicious addictive free dip made in seconds! YUM!!

How much money will you save making your own dips from scratch? Not to mention they taste a million times better than bought ones!

Salad options are either Fresh Beetroot Salad or Coleslaw

ThermoWOW factors for both of these recipes is seeing the Thermomix chopping quickly – a chopped salad in 3 secs!!

Coleslaw salad (mayo free)

For the main course the host or one of the guests gets to help cook a choice of Mushroom Risotto or Chicken or Salmon Veloute’ Meal (a vegetarian option of Mushroom Veloute’ can also be made).

The Mushroom Risotto has the ThermoWOW factors of using the guided recipe, grating parmesan cheese in 5 secs, chopping, cooking & stirring, a quick, delicious & easy meal. My other favourite risotto flavours are Beetroot Risotto or Lemon, Leek & Zucchini YUM!!!

Mushroom Risotto

Mushroom Risotto

Veloute’ Meal ThermoWOW factors are seeing an all in one meal made, chopping, cooking, steaming & pureeing – you cook a veggie soup, while steaming your protein & veggies. Some of the soup is made into the delicious velvet sauce to go over the protein & veggies.

Salmon Veloute' Meal

Salmon Veloute’ Meal

Dessert is made by another guest & is the easiest recipe to make – the choice is Chocolate or Vanilla Custard – ThermoWOW factors are using the automated recipe, hands free cooking & stirring with no lumps!!

Another awesome thing about a Thermomix demo is it is a no pressure environment, there is no expectation for you to buy a Thermomix the first time you see it, some people will & some people take years to make the dream a reality – the choice & timing is all up to you. At the demo we go through all the payment options available to you.

If a full demo is not yours or your partner’s cup of tea, we can come to you with our Thermomix & you can choose a dish you want to cook, we call this a one on one, again this is a no obligation mini demo for you to see how the Thermomix works. This is also a great option for a commercial demo for a cafe’ or restaurant.

So what if you already own a Thermomix? It is a perfect way for you to be inspired to learn more ideas, tips & tricks for using your Thermomix that you may have forgotten – you may well be ThermoWOWed all over again!

Seeing & tasting is believing, contact your consultant to book a demo, you won’t regret it! YUM YUM YUM!!
